Accountant - Staff - Budgeting

Ashley Furniture is the 2nd largest furniture manufacturer in the United States with 2+ billion dollars in annual sales.
Internal promotion has created an immediate opportunity for an accountant at our Arcadia, Wisconsin location.

This role will require a high degree of accuracy and financial accounting knowledge.
Operational excellence and innovation on a daily basis.

Duties include:
Performing monthly financial close processes including preparing journal entries, month-end financial reports, and review/analysis of financial data.
Maintenance of budgeting system including the set up of unit-natures, maintenance of allocation tables and financial statement structure.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and work with Accounts Payable to resolve any problems.
Prepare credit applications.
File vehicle registrations/renewals & monitor timeliness of filings.
Prepare various Census Bureau surveys.
Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 3+ years of experience working with general accounting and/or budgeting.
Strong computer competency skills: AS400, Excel, MS Office suite.
