Accountant - Staff

Classification: Full Time Compensation: Pay up to $50000 per year Our southern New Hampshire client is in need of a Staff Accountant.Responsible for all aspects of the daily accounting function for the Credit Union's administrative operations. Reporting to the CEO, duties include: general ledger maintenance and entries; accounts payable and receivable; general ledger reconcilements including overnight sweep, VISA settlement, ATM, and other correspondent Credit Union accounts; and maintenance of subsidiary accounts. Duties also include preparation of period-ending statements and reports, and assistance in budget preparation.A strong understanding of GAAP and the unique accounting requirements of a financial institution is needed. Desired candidate should have 2+ years experience andBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
