Propery Accountant



Responsibilities:
• Responsible for financial information and reporting, including receivables, fixed assets, budgeting, escalations, and other financial areas
• Responsible for communicating property financial information to internal and external managers
• Directs accounting, billing and collection, and other financial functions of the property and coordinates the functions for a more effective operation
• Participates in budgeting process and coordinates information into budget package
• Recommends policies and procedures relating to financial and business practices of the retail property
• Coordinates accounting firms on audit and tax work
• Responsible for preparation of required federal and state financial reports, payroll reports, as well as other financial and related reports
• Implements and administers accounting policies and procedures
• Represents the company to the client and public
• Responsible for maintenance and retention of property reports and records
• Performance of any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
BS in Business with additional hour and/or CPA
In leiu of degree, minimum of 2 years in a retail property accounting position with reponsibility for the overall financial reporting for a property
1-3 years in related areas with emphasis on management in a financial/real estate environment
Knowledge of accounting, including GAAP and other forms of financial analysis
