FTE/Hours: 1.0Description/Qualifications:Applies accounting principles and quantitative analysis to support on going monitoring of financial performance. In doing so, prepares financial statement and related analysis, performs accounts analysis, prepares journal entries, monitors all system interfaces into the general ledger, determines asset value and provide day to day supervision to accounting assistants. Knowledge of accounting, finance, statistical analyses and general business administration at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent. Analytical skills necessary in order to collect, analyze and make changes to a variety of financial statements and reports. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of Hospital personnel in the collection and analysis of financial data, and with third party auditors and regulatory agencies when conducting Hospital audits. Approximately two to three years accounting work experience necessary in order to gain expertise needed to fully understand, analyze and maintain a variety of accounting reports and assist in the resolution of complex accounting problems. Experience with mainframe and PC based accounting hardware and software.
