Accountant Budget

Job Summary: This position provides assistance to Manager-Budget and Financial Analysis, and the Senior Accountant - Budget, by means of collecting data and preparing various complex cost and budget reports.

Key Responsibility Areas:
•Develop data and prepare periodical cost reports and budgeting analyses, frequently of a highly confidential and sensitive nature as required by the government contracts entered by TriWest.
•Participate in the development and implementation of data processing systems that aid in accomplishing budget responsibilities.
•Scrutinize all data input into TriWest’s budgeting systems to ensure a high degree accuracy and compliance with TRICARE programs, policies, and procedures.
•Provide reporting (trends, variance, etc.) support.
•Responsible for the preparation of monthly management reports.
•Serve as back up for various staff functions, including ledger analysis and reconciliations within the Finance Department.
•Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Favorable working conditions in a climate controlled office space; must be available for to cover any work shift; Works within an office environment with minimal travel required; level II IT security clearance.Job Requirements
Employment Standards

Education and Experience:
•Associate’s (AA/AS) Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
•Three (3) years of experience in an accounting related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Working knowledge of health care as it relates to government contracts
•Knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards.
•Demonstrated communication skills to interface with both internal and external personnel.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
•Works well independently with minimum supervision.
