Accountant/Analyst (CW201969)

PDS is looking for an Accounting Analyst to work an open-ended contract position in San Antonio, TX. The Accounting Analyst will maintain and document effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with labor accounting system requirements. Identify labor accounting system issues.
Support internal/external auditors related specifically to job functions and under the review of higher levels. Review and interpret company directives and policies to guide, direct, and make recommendations regarding accounting policy and practices specific to their job function with direction. Monitor, maintain and review internal control systems and documentation for compliance. Prepares standard internal and external financial reports based on accounting information and data in accordance with predetermined guidelines and higher level direction.
Gather, analyze, prepare and reconcile routine data in accordance with predetermined guidelines (e.g. desk procedures) to support the preparation of financial statements. Review and analyze relevant accounting source documents to ensure amounts posted to the accounting ledgers are correctly classified in accordance with higher level direction.Job Requirements
2-3 years relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred.
