Accountant / Accounting Associate

The D. E. Shaw group, a multi-billion dollar investment and technology development firm, seeks smart entry-level (0-2 years of experience) accountants for our accounting and reporting groups. Responsibilities include monthly closes for multiple entities, account reconciliations and analyses, financial statement preparation, management and regulatory reporting, and special project work. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, organized individual with strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and quantitative skills, a rigorous work ethic, and a genuine interest in accounting.
