Job Description

The Accountant position will be responsible for Accounts Receivable and Revenue Billing, including any related analyses, tracking and follow-up and problem resolution with Clients; Project Labor tracking and related analyses; Fixed Asset and Construction-In-Progress tracking and follow-up, inclusive of the Capital Project Tracking System updates and physical inventories; Fixed Asset System (FAS) records updating and maintenance, including reconciliation with the General Ledger and Capital Projects Tracking System; and Cross-training and periodic coverage for both Payroll and Accounts Payable.



Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Monthly Invoicing; Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Revenue Recognized.

Fixed Asset System maintenance and tracking of Construction-in-Progress spending.

Tracking of Materials purchased on-behalf of a Client, related Billing and analyses.

Track & Analyze Project Labor, as it relates to Project Codes and Change Orders.

Update and Maintenance of Project Codes within internal computer systems.

Back-up on Payroll and Accounts Payable processing.

Prepare Reports that identify and summarize charges billable under Contracts, Change Orders, ATP, LOIs and other agreements between Cambrex and its Clients, and that items so designated by the Site Controller are Invoiced in a timely manner, as described above.

Access Cambrex’ Labor Reporting System, relative to Project Codes and Tasks, and prepare reports consistent with instructions from management.

Ensure that all Fixed Assets are Tagged, and that Asset information within the Company’s computer systems is accurate and comprehensive.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2 years of related experience in an accounting environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred

Strong analytical skills and abstract thinking abilities

Solid accounting skills and a strong knowledge of GAAP

Basic knowledge of Cost Accounting/Project Management principles

Proficiency with Microsoft office suite

Experience working with ERP systems is desirable.

Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all departments and all levels of personnel within the site and the Corporate office.

Demonstrated initiative, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Strong leadership skills
