Job Description:
The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the monthly financial statement reporting to Siemens AG. The Senior Accountant ensures that general ledger accounting activities are
consistent with Siemens Accounting Guidelines. Additional responsibilities involve maintenance and performance of key monthly system accounting jobs, as well as supporting
the Sarbanes Oxley control framework. The Senior Accountant will oversee the accounting activities for several significant areas within Siemens Medical and will assist the Senior Manager of Accounting with complex accounting issues.


Education:

BS in Accounting or advanced degree in Accounting



Knowledge and Experience:

The candidate should possess the following skills:
1) Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and the ability to successfully apply those principles
2) Familiarity and expertise with the mechanics and the reporting of financial statements
3) Familiarity of the accounting close process
4) Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate accounting issues to non-accounting personnel
5) Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to spearhead projects and lead meetings
6) 7-10 years of related experience
7) CPA or CMA preferred
8) SAP experience preferred


Experience in large public auditing firm preferred
