Account Manger

Arbitron is a leading media information services company providing internet based software solutions that will shape the future of the broadcasting industry. We are looking for an Account Manger to join our Advertiser Agency/Services Department located in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:
Sell & service all of Arbitron’s quantitative, qualitative and software services to advertisers and agenciesMaintain current client contacts, drive additional product penetration and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction among all clients.
Prepare monthly status reports outlining sales, renewal, and pending activity.
Serve as a resource and team member for various AAS initiatives.
Travel 2-3 weeks per month to demonstrate, sell and service our products in assigned territory.


REQUIREMENTS
Strong consultative sales skills including cold-calling and an aptitude for selling services which require in-depth applications and analytics
Create, develop and implement new business opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field3-4 years of broadcast, agency or client-side experience, preferably with agency buying, media sales or vendor experience
Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM required
Strong interpersonal, presentation and oral/written communication skills a must
Demonstrable knowledge of Arbitron data and media software systems as they relate to media buying and planning
Excellent PC skills a must; network skills a big plus
Self-starter, customer-focused and ready to travel
Overnight business travel is required and must have valid drivers license
A positive outlook combined with a genuine willingness to learn and grow into a “master” negotiator, customer needs assessor and solutions expert.
