Account Manager, Sponsorship

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is seeking an Account Manager (AM) to support the Americas Sponsorship Sales Team with regards to pre-sales and post-sales customer support. Some activities include sales reporting and forecasting, direct liaison with large multinational clients and territory prospecting.

The AM must have a solid understanding of our custom capabilities and product offerings and in turn, clearly communicate these services to our clients when appropriate. The AM must understand and have an awareness of international business and political issues as well as our top clients.

This role also requires providing sponsorship customers with professional relationship management. Strong organisational, interpersonal, sales, communication and customer service skills are necessary as this role interfaces with many facets of our business, including: sales, management, editorial, marketing, accounting and business operations. This role requires a degree of independence and latitude in decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS or relevant work experience
- Minimum of two years customer service and sales support experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience managing sales relationships
- Numerate and familiarity with basic accounting practices and procedures
- Familiarity with the functions of global business organisations
- Microsoft Office, Goldmine and ACT
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
