Account Manager- Medical Billing

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES: Be responsible for the success of the billing and receivables management activities for the client to whom you are responsible.1. Be responsible for the success of the billing and receivables management activities for a single client or a group of Hart’s clients.
2. Be Hart’s primary contact to those clients. This means regular contact with senior clinical, financial and practice management staff.3. Identify and communicate client goals to Hart Operations.4. Insure unique needs of the client are understood and met by Hart staff.
5. Educate client in billing process issues at client site that may be inhibiting prompt billing and reimbursement.
6. Develop expertise with Hart’s proprietary billing system, analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications and generate monthly financial and analytical reports for client and Hart use.
7. Prepare for and chair monthly review meetings with client(s).
8. Display a thorough understanding of billing rules and protocols for all major Third Party payors.
9. Interact with Third Party payors on behalf of Hart’s Client’s and Hart Associates to resolve issues.
10. Provide training to client staff and HART staff regarding billing, coding and system issues.
11. Maintain a professional business attitude and demeanor towards the company, its employees and its clients
12. Represent the company in a positive professional manner at all times.
13. Actively participate in staff meetings.
14. Actively support Hart’s OIG Compliance and HIPAA Programs .
15. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• College Degree or relevant experience
• 3-5 Years billing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Emphasis on quality customer service
• Good problem solving skills• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
