Account Director – Database Marketing and Analytics

Equitec seeks an experienced Account Director to lead/manage all aspects of a large database marketing, marketing services and analytic consulting services relationship with a Fortune 15 retailer. In order to be considered, candidates must have at least 8 years experience leading a large account team in delivery of database marketing and analytic services to Fortune 100 clients.

Job Description

The Account Director is responsible for the P&L of the designated account and the overall client-Equitec relationship for a Fortune 15 retailer. He/She is responsible for maintaining a high standard of client satisfaction by providing strong external and internal leadership, innovative strategies, insights and quality service delivery. She/He has full accountability for the relationship and is responsible for overall account operations and management of staff assigned to the account. The successful candidate will be capable of simultaneously managing multiple complex relationships within the client organization, with their creative agencies, and with business partners critical to delivery of the services. The Account Director is also tasked with expanding the existing client relationship, delivering consistent profitable growth and retention of current services. The role requires effective management of client: (1) contract; (2) relationship; (3) service delivery; and (4) strategic planning in a manner that addresses both short-term and long-term account goals.
REQUIREMENTS


Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 8 years experience (minimum) leading an account team engaged in the following activities:

o Providing vision, priorities, and specifications for marketing database growth and expansion to meet current and future client needs.

o Managing a high-performing team of 30-40 direct, matrix, and partner resources to achieve optimal operating and financial results

o Leading database marketing and analytic projects.

o Optimizing marketing programs, proving the ROI of your new ideas, and overseeing profiling and modeling projects.

Other Key Requirements

o Familiarity with customer database development and statistical marketing analysis

o Well-informed knowledge about the results of research and business practices throughout the database marketing industry

o Excellent written and presentation skills for working directly with clients and their agencies

o Excellent organization skills, coupled with very strong team leadership and highly influential communications skills

o Ability to travel 10 – 15 business days per month.

o MBA with coursework in marketing and database marketing is highly desired.
