Assistant Vice President, Forecasting
Countrywide Bank, N.A. is a residential real estate lending bank providing deposit and related financial services to consumers and intermediaries and is a strategic component of Countrywide’s goal of dominating the residential lending business.
The Assistant Vice President, Forecasting will be responsible for supporting the Financial Forecasting Initiatives as well as the reporting and presentation requirements of the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. Involves financial engineering, development of strategic scenarios, business plans and presentations. The reports and presentations vary based on specific business situations and may include financial, business development, strategic business issues and similar topics. The individual may also be required to utilize advanced planning industry tools and any other industry expertise they may bring.
Primary responsibilities include:

Supporting the Financial Forecasting by modeling Balance Sheet and Income Statements for the various businesses, and drafting multiple-scenario business plans and summary presentations.

Analyzing historical financials and future expected trends by leveraging Countrywide’s industry leading research and analytics departments.

Assure that adequate resources and time are devoted to understanding the business and its management to ensure proper and efficient communication of strategic plans and other related concerns.

Ad-hoc analysis required for the department.
A successful candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent. BA in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience. BA in Life Sciences and Engineering also considered.

Investment banking, banking and/or real estate experience preferred.

Proficiency in advanced use of the PC in Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Access and other business related software provided by the company.

Effective comprehension, listening, negotiation, presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player.

Ability to generate, update, interpret, analyze and provide formatted reports and spreadsheets for management.

Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment meeting goals and deadlines.

Be flexible and have ability to multi-task.
