AP Specialist

Classification: Temporary Compensation: $34,000 to $45,000 per year Company: A mid-size software company providing software and services to the brokerage industry.
Qualifications
Desired candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of accounts payable experience in a mid-sized company (software or financial services experience a plus), maintain a high degree of confidentiality, be capable of prioritizing, multi-tasking efficiently, possess strong organization skills with attention to detail, be self-motivated and dependable. Very strong written and oral communication skills required.Key Responsibilities:
•A/P (day to day accounting functions)
•Authorization Process
•Code and process invoices
•Expense reports
•Daily interaction/research with vendors
•Process Payments•Year end 1099 reporting
•Assist with Month-end closing
•Ad hoc projectsTraining, Education, Special Skills Required:
Degree in Accounting is desired, not required. Must have a thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable as well as display a proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Sun Accounting systems experience a plus.
