AP / AR Supervisor

On behalf of our client we are conducting a CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH for an AP/AR SUPERVISOR. If you are looking to join a progressive, team oriented company in a highly visible position, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for!

The position is responsible for directing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Collection staff to provide accurate and timely processing and disbursements of vendor obligations. Hiring, training, assigning and directing the work flow of the staff. Establishing and monitoring internal controls and procedures to protect the assets of the company and determine new controls or procedures that address the growth of the company. Regular interaction with management and internal and external customers to integrate solutions that meet the company’s goals both financially and operationally. Work with Controller and Assistant Controller on month end closing process. Other responsibilities include, entering payables, processing check runs, ordering cell phones for internal customers, account reconciliations, aging requests, assisting in weekly cash forecasting,1099 and other duties as assigned.

Educational requirements:
Degree in accounting or equivalent field
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required!
• 3 + years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment are required!
• Cost accounting experience and background is a MUST!
• Proficiency with Excel, pivot tables, Word, Oracle
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organization and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail with multi tasking skills
• Team Player with ability to work in a fast-pass environment with minimal oversight
• Stable work history and strong work ethic
• Have a proactive, customer-service focus.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable processing
• 3+ years of Supervisory experience.
• Demonstrate experience with project management and process improvement
