ACCOUNT COORDINATOR

Assist underwriters by rating/pre-underwriting new and renewal submissions, and following each account through to issuance of policy, or policy declination. Initiate and manage account renewal process. Manage submission intake and renewal requests. Research and organize new/renewal submissions to assist underwriters in determining if the risk fits within our underwriting appetite. Draft external communications for agent/broker communications. Establish and maintain electronic and paper underwriting files. Issue and transmit released quotes into Darwin's proprietary underwriting system and other applications. Complete and distribute insurance documentation to policyholders and agents/brokers. Follow-up and process policy endorsements. Provide customer service to agents by answering questions via phone, email or fax. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
2-year college degree and at least 2 years’ professional work experience, previous insurance experience or training preferred. Proficient computer skills, especially in Windows-based systems Microsoft Word and Excel, and Internet. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Multitask and work independently and problem solve. Must be highly organized, accurate, and detail oriented. Ability to perform standard office functions, telephone, e-mail communications, filing, etc.
