RESPONSIBILITIES: The aircraft maintenance mechanic is a working member of the maintenance organization who is charge with the duties and responsibility of performing maintenance in the utmost professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Follow, perform, and assist approved work by their lead(s) within his/her scheduled shift.
•Assure completeness of all assign work documents and records.
•Seek on-the-job training during work shift to ensure proper qualification standards are met and maintained.
•Coordinate all activities with lead mechanic in charge or station supervisor.
•Research all pertinent information and material or work scheduled on aircraft.
•Assist in the clean up of the maintenance work area.
•Enter completed work into AURA.
•Any other additional duties assigned.
•May be required to go on A.O.G field trips with little or no notice.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•A&P license.
•Two (2) years experience performing heavy maintenance to include maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, flight control rigging, etc. on Airbus 31/319/320 aircraft or similar heavy aircraft and ability to complete differences training.
•Must have ability to obtain Taxi and Run-up authorization and airworthiness on both aircraft types.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
•Working knowledge of Aura
•Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance

Physical Effort –
•Position requires extremely strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
